Weekly Recap #5 | Things That Made Me Happy

things that made me happy #5

Hello beauties!

I hope all of you having a great weekend so far. “Weekly Recap | Things That Made Me Happy” is another series where I will be sharing all the things that made me happy. My goal is to spread some happiness and gratitude of little or big things that are happening in my life, and encourage others to share their happy/grateful things of the week.

Sometimes all it takes is gentle reminders of things that make us grateful or appreciative. I mean, we live in a world full of senseless violence, poverty, famine, and tragedy – reflecting on the positive, I find, makes me open my eyes a bit more to appreciate the little things…Don’t you agree?

Feel free to share things that made you happy this week. Here are mine ♡

Having Fun At The Kids Rock Manasota Event
This was our first time going to The Kids Rock Manasota event. The weather was hot, but despite that we still had lots of fun. The event was all about kids: face painting, bounce houses, dancing, free ice cream, food concession stands, games, etc…We definitely enjoyed ourselves, but most importantly Annabella had fun doing all kinds of different activities.

Eating At Arby’s
We only have one Arby’s restaurant in town, and oh boy we were craving some good Arby’s sandwich, their famous curly fries and Jamocha shake. So we went, and we enjoyed every bit of it!

Relaxing At The Pool
I enjoy spending time at the pool with my family. Any water related activities, either the pool, the beach or a water park, I’m always up for it. We are very fortunate to have a pool in our apartment complex, so in the summertime we do take advantage of it often.

Washing My Car
I’m sure all of us are guilty of going weeks without vacuuming or washing our cars. As much as I am a clean freak, I’m so guilty of that too. So this week, I final got to it, vacuumed and washed my car. It made me so happy!

Taking A Day Off On Friday
I decided to take Friday off this week and just enjoy myself. I was able to get a lot of things done and also attend Annabella’s first dance recital. It was definitely a productive and fun day.

Getting A Manicure & Eyebrows Done
After my daughter’s dance recital I went to my favorite spa “The Day Spa” and treated myself for a manicure and got my eyebrows done. I typically do my own manicures and eyebrows, but once in a while you just want someone else to do it for you. We women deserve to be pampered once in awhile!

Meeting My Stepdaughter
Wow, I never knew this day would come. I met Kayla for the first time. She is now 16 years old. Beautiful and very smart girl. My husband and I have been together for over 9 years and this was my first time meeting her. My husband hasn’t seen her in over 8 years. A lot has happened over the years and that’s what cause them to be apart from each other. It’s a very log story, and I would love to share the story with all of you when the time is right. It was such a pleasure to meet her in person and spend some time with her. You can only imagine how my husband felt (very emotional). We hope to stay in touch and I pray that a relationship between my husband and her will blossom into something amazing. God willing!
